Ed Morgan calls his engraving process "sculpting" and likens it to techniques used by stone and
wood sculptors. "Once I've carved away a particular area, it can't be replaced. Morgan is forced to
carefully consider his design and composition. Only after embossing the image does he apply
watercolor directly to the print. Besides producing limited editions Ed also creates
his "uniques", one of a kind pieces. |
