Artist Statement - Description of Media Art is experimentation and discovery of concentrated nature. Encaustic means "Burning In" in Greek. Dry pigment, bleached beeswax and tree sap is the molten paint: first applied and then fused and remanipulated by palet knife. The charm is in the luster of its enamel like finish and bright quality it gives to the pigment: Fluid and permanent by nature . . . A. Hoy |
