Forgotten Stars ( Click to Enlarge ) Oil pencil is blended with turpentine to attain a brilliant saturation of color. Each layer of pencil is put down one at time, followed by a brushing of turpentine, which moves and blends the color to the exact location and consistency. Each painting is framed under my direction to ensure the highest artistic and preservation standards. GRAPHICS - DRAWING

I continue to search for a new visual language between the viewer and myself.  Some have described my work as "expressionist realism".  I search for expression not imitation relationships rather than realism.  I remain open to inspired moments and follow the direction that those moments take me to.  Drawing continues to be the core element of my creations.  I resist the temptation to be detailed and rely on visual tension and dynamic rhythms of color and light to convey my imagery.   .   .   B.J.
